We are inundated with problems and obstacles on a daily basis, and once we develop self-awareness, we can gain control of our minds and subsequently gain control of our barrage of thoughts. The majority of people are unaware of how the unobserved mind with its incessant thinking is affecting them by creating insurmountable obstacles, which may not even truly exist.
Many people become obsessed with negative self-talk to such an extent that they fully identify with their thoughts to the point of literally becoming lost in a sea of incessant thinking.
When you so deeply identify with your thoughts they can evoke a very strong emotional response. If your self-talk is positive, then it will elicit a positive response, butif it is negative, then you will have created a domino effect in which you literally drown in a flood of negative, self-perpetuating outcomes.
