In my previous blog, I mentioned that breathing is the clearest index of inner consciousness. Disturbances in our mind are signalled by disturbances in our breathing.
Our everyday breathing is shallow and under the control of the body’s autonomic reflex system and the unconscious mind. Fortunately for us there is hope to improve our breathing techniques, through conscious intent.
